Internet Portrait Project

Assignment 1

Students will be allowed to pick a person off the internet or a fictional character to draw in Illustrator, import to Photoshop and color. 

This assignment is for you guys to practice on a face before you do your self-portrait. This page will provide a few resources for you

Subject Accuracy
The Image was A excellent representation of the subject
The image looked like the subject but needed a little work
The subject was recognizable

Coloring
(Photoshop)
The shading looks natural
The shading was done well but needs just a little work
There was some shading but a lot of shading was missing
There was little shading found

Inking
(Illustrator)
Small details were added in to help with shading such as wrinkles,  in the clothing and skin. All lines were clean as well and created define color zones Stroke weight was thought of and used carefully
Some details were included. all lines looked clean and color zones were defined. Different features of the face were considered and stroke weight was adjusted.
Lines need a little work, some gaps between lines, color zones were there, but not as well thought out. Stroke weight was considered, but not heavily utilized.
Lines were a bit sloppy. there were no details added in to help with coloring. gaps in color zones were found everywhere.
lines were not considered at all. color zones are not refined. a lot of gaps showed up. stroke weight not considered.
Layer Organization
All layers were named and groups were used
Groups were used but not all layers were named or there were loss layers
Some layers were named. One grouping that wasn’t named but the group wasn’t used
No layers were named and no groups were used
Layers were not used.
