Self Portraits

Assignment 3
This assignment will move us from basic functions of Photoshop and Illustrator and into the more fine art side of the programs. You will be taking pictures of yourself and creating a self-portrait using both Photoshop and Illustrator together.

In this project, you will be using tools like
-        Photoshop
o   Paint Brush
o   Paint Bucket
o   Burn
o   Dodge
o   Smudge
o   Blur
o   Magic wand
-        Illustrator
o   Pencil
o   Paint Brush
o   Line
o   Add/Remove anchors
o   Direct Selection tool

In addition to these tools, you will work on
-        Layer Organization
-        Layer Labeling
-        Quick Photoshop palette creation

The requirements for this assignment
-        Organization
-        Create an image that looks like yourself
       - You will need to complete one to two images(s) of yourself total. These images can live in the same picture.
-        Color the image in Photoshop
-        Shade the image in Photoshop
-        Create a background that works with the image
-    Complete the artist statement

When this project is turned in, I will be taking
-        Your illustrator image
-        Photoshop image

Picture day information
All pictures must be taken in this class. Nothing from your phone's gallery, or social media can
be used. All computers have cameras on them, We will use those. We also have a small photo 
studio in the back that we can use for more dynamic images

Some layers were named. One grouping that wasn’t named but the group wasn’t used

Artist Statement & Proposal
The proposal was well thought out, detailed and gave a great roadmap as to what the student wanted to do. The statement gave thorough insight into the mind of the artist, what the piece meant and what they wanted the viewer to see
The proposal was well thought out and clear. The statement showed the student thought about their work and what it meant to them.
The proposal had a decent rough draft of what the student wanted to do but and the statement gave some insight to the student’s thoughts
The idea was vague in the proposal and the statement gave me no real information on the piece
There was no statement or proposal
